McDaniel College

Howard graduated from McDaniel in 2006, spending two seasons on the wrestling team after transferring from Division I George Mason University.

Howard was a two-time All-America selection and one of only four wrestlers in program history to earn multiple All-America honors. He is also the only wrestler in program history to earn All-America honors in two different weight classes: at 174 pounds as a junior in 2005 and at 165 pounds as a senior in 2006.

Howard is also one of just five wrestlers in program history to win a Centennial Conference championship at two different weight classes. He won the 174-pound championship as a junior in 2005 before capturing the 165-pound title as a senior in 2006. He received All-Centennial Conference First Team honors both years.

Howard ranks fifth in program history in career winning percentage, posting a 39-6 record in two seasons for an .867 winning percentage. He also ranks 10th in a single season with an .897 winning percentage as a senior in 2005-06, when he posted a 26-3 record.

In 2018, Howard was named to the Centennial Conference Silver Anniversary Team.
