  • Participated in all women's sports, including field hockey, basketball, volleyball, fencing and softball
  • Earned a Master's Degree from Columbia University
  • First full-time physical education teacher for girls in Carroll County
  • Introduced Field Hockey as an interscholastic sport in Carroll County
  • Introduced lifetime sports in girls' physical education curriculum including golf, tennis, fencing, badminton, archery, pistol marksmanship and table tennis
  • Coached all interscholastic sports teams at Westminster High School
  • Organized Girls' Athletic Board to officiate intramural sports and to raise funds for equipment for classroom use and for sports teams
  • Coached cheerleaders and organized drill teams to provide cheering sections for football games
  • Coached County and State Champions in Field ball, Speedball and Volleyball
  • Coached County Champions in Field Hockey
  • Coached County, Western Shore and State Champs in Basketball
  • Coached 5 County Individual Champions in Archery
  • Inducted into the Carroll County Sports Hall of Fame, 1997
