Beckett, McConnaha, Coaches Honored With Conference Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. - McDaniel College women's basketball junior Elaina Beckett and sophomore Teya McConnaha both earned All-Centennial Conference honors on Wednesday.

Beckett was named to the second team for the third consecutive year while McConnaha earned her first all-conference selection after being named Rookie of the Year last season.

The coaching staff, led by sixth-year head coach Christin Gowan and assistant coach Maggie Berigan were selected by their peers as the Coaching Staff of the Year. It is the second honor for McDaniel and first since 2015. They led the Green Terror to 17 wins, their most since 2015-16, as well as their first postseason appearance and first in the Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Championship since 2016.

Beckett currently ranks second in the conference in scoring at 15.7 points per game, second only to Player of the Year Chinwe Irondi from Ursinus. She finished in the top-10 in the conference in scoring for the third year in-a-row. One of just two players to start all 26 games this season, she has scored 20 or more points in a game six times, including a season-high 26 versus No. 13 Gettysburg at home on Feb. 19.

Beckett is second on the team in rebounding at 7.0 per game and has totaled four double doubles in points and rebounds while also averaging a career-high 2.3 assists per game.

McConnaha lead the team in rebounding, averaging 7.4 per game, a mark that ranks 11th in the conference. She also ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 10.2 points per game. She has totaled four double doubles, including three against conference competition. In 14 conference games, she averaged 11.2 points and 6.9 rebounds.

On Nov. 9, McConnaha scored a career-high 22 points while grabbing 12 rebounds in an 84-70 victory over Geneva in the championship game of the Rebecca Martin Memorial Tournament en route to earning All-Tournament Team honors.

In addition to all-conference honors, the Centennial Conference announced the 2025 All-Sportsmanship Team for women's basketball with senior Peyton Tague earning her first selection. She has appeared in 24 of the team's games this season, averaging 2.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and nearly 2.0 assists.
