WASHINGTON, D.C. - The McDaniel men's outdoor track team traveled to Gallaudet University for the Gallaudet Invitational. The men left with four new entries on the McDaniel all time top 10 lists. They also grabbed six individual wins.
In the 3000 meter run the men set a new school record, along with two more men running a top ten time in McDaniel history. Freshman Jack Sears set the program record and won running a time of 8:58.45. He beat the the previous time of 9:12.52 set by Jim Heilman in 2017. Senior Wyatt Farace also beat the previous record placing second with a time of 9:10.92. Junior Nick Raumann followed in third running 9:17.20. This time moves him to fifth in program history. Sophomore Joc Baldacci placed fourth running 10:58.51.
Junior Chett Brunner won the shot put throwing 14.60 meters. This mark improves his mark that sits him at sixth in program history. Sophomore Jacob Graham placed sixth with a throw of 11.89 meters. Junior Jake Conklin placed eighth with a throw of 11.36 meters.
Sears also won the 1500 meter with a time of 4:04.62. Farace placed 4th with a time of 4:11.96. Raumann followed running 4:15.42.
Senior Anthony Razze won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 59.49. Freshman Noah DeJesus placed fifth with a time of 1:10.70.
Sophomore Oral-Anthony Coleman won the 100 meter dash running a time of 11.10. Freshman Christian Taylor placed 13th running 12.12.
Freshman Jack Reiser won the 800 meter run with a time of 2:00.49.
Senior Collin Wainwright placed second in weight throw with a throw of 40.35 meters. Graham placed fifth with a throw of 38.10 meters. Conklin place seventh with a throw of 31.33 meters. Freshman AJ Iglesias threw 27.01 meters to finish eighth.
Brunner placed second in discus with a throw of 38.08 meters. Graham would place fifth with a 34.39 meters. Conklin placed second in javelin with a throw of 37.15 meters. Senior Evan Lowengrub placed eighth with a throw of 23.30 meters.
Junior John Geniti placed second in pole vault with a jump of 3.85 meters.
Freshman Christian Homer placed third in triple jump with a jump of 12.32 meters. Taylor placed fifth with a jump of 11.87 meters. Senior Jayson Jones placed 7th with a jump of 11.20 meters.
Taylor placed third in long jump with a jump of 5.84 meters. Homer placed fifth with a jump of 5.73 meters. Freshman DaVaughn Joyner jumped 5.32 meters to place ninth.
Junior Tyler Richardson placed fourth in the 400 with a time of 53.00.

The men will compete next at the Centennial Conference Championships that start on Friday May 5th and ends the Sunday the 7th. 27 athletes have qualified and will compete at the Championships.
