NEW ORLEANS, La. - On Wednesday, McDaniel College men's outdoor track & field graduate student
Chett Brunner received All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors in the shot put from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.
All-Region honors for outdoor track & field in Division III started during the 2015-16 academic year. Since then, the Green Terror have earned 19, including a program-record six in 2022 and 2023.
Brunner, a two-time all-region selection indoors, earned his first all-region outdoor. He has the Mid-Atlantic Region's second-best mark in the shot put at 15.52m (50' 11"), the fourth-best in program history, set at the Widener Final Qualifier on May 12.
A two-time all-conference selection in the shot put, Brunner earned a silver medal at the 2025 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a throw of 15.34m (50' 4" after earning bronze with a throw of 14.52m (47' 7.75") in 2024.
