THE REST OF THE STORY
• McDaniel jumped out to a quick lead when Dom Calderoni (Glen Cove, N.Y./North Shore) scored in the first 30 seconds of the contest. Nick Wingo (Westminster, Md./Westminster) and Nick DeLoriers made it a 3-0 game before three minutes had elapsed, setting the table for nine goals in the first 12:24 of the quarter. DeLoriers had completed his hat trick before the period ended. Louis Ferrara got Alvernia on the board with 1:18 to play in the quarter.
• The Green Terror stretched the lead to 13-1 at the break with all four goals in the second quarter. Zach Micklos (Washington, D.C./St. John's College) scored twice.
• DeLoriers began the scoring in the second half off an assist from Micklos, running the lead to 19-1 entering the final period. Patrick Fegan scored twice in the quarter.
• Jason Fritz (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) found Tyler Moss (Grasonville, Md./Kent Island) for his first career goal with 8:39 showing. Cade Campbell capitalized for the Golden Wolves for their second goal of the game with 88 ticks left.

• McDaniel had the advantage in shots 44-19 and ground balls, 54-40.
• Luke Shires (Fallston, Md./Loyola Blakefield) scooped up five ground balls and won 15 of 20 faceoffs.
