Five Score Goals, Eight Record Points in Loss at Muhlenberg

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Five different players scored a goal while eight recorded a point as the McDaniel College men's lacrosse team fell to Muhlenberg Saturday on Frank Marino Field at Scotty Wood Stadium.

The game marked the seventh opponent for the Green Terror (5-11, 0-7 CC) who has been nationally ranked or receiving votes in the USILA Division III Coaches Poll at some point during the season, including the sixth-straight.

Four of McDaniel's top five goal scorers on the season each had one goal while junior Charlie Mudd netted his first of the season. Junior Aidan Skelly also scored to extend his goal scoring streak to four games.

Three different players also picked up an assist for the Green Terror, including senior Trent Hillis who recorded the first of his career. Meanwhile, junior Reagan Wilson picked up his team-leading ninth of the season.

With eight players combining for eight points, McDaniel posted its highest point total in the last eight games.

The Mules (10-6, 5-2 CC), who are receiving votes in the latest USILA poll, scored the game's first five goals before Mudd scored off an assist from senior Nate Yelle to pull the visitors within four at the first quarter. It was Yelle's third assist of the season and first since March 21 versus Haverford.

Muhlenberg scored the first three to start the second before first-year Cutter Stanton scored to make the score 8-2 in favor of the Mules with 9:40 left.

However, Muhlenberg responded by totaling the next 13 consecutive to take a 21-2 lead just two minutes into the fourth.

Junior Gabe Wallman finished with 17 saves, three shy of his career high, and now has 194 this season. Junior Leo Hale totaled four of the team's eight caused turnovers while sophomore Aaron Ewing added two.

McDaniel concludes the 2025 season on Saturday, April 25 when it hosts Ursinus. Face-off is set for noon.
