THE REST OF THE STORY
• McDaniel jumped out to 1-0 lead jut over four minutes into the game when Liam DeLorenzo (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) found the back of the net. Lycoming responded with a Max Anderson tally with 8:21 to play in the first period.
• Both attacks went cold until Bobby Ruppert (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) finished a pass from Patrick Fegan (Edgewater, Md./South River) just before the final horn for a 2-1 lead heading into the break.
• The Warriors controlled play for most of the third quarter. With 7:57 remaining, Rory Hines scored off an assist from Dominick Massaro to tie the game at 2-all beofre Andrew Dede gave the hosts a 3-2 lead in the final two minutes of the quarter.
• Zach Micklos (Washington, D.C./St. John's College) knotted the game at 3-all with 12:12 on the clock. Just 37 seconds later, Dom Calderoni (Glen Cove, N.Y./North Shore) gave the Green Terror a one-goal edge. The Warriors, however, had the final say with the game-tying goal from Zach Anderson 4:15 remaining. With just 86 ticks remaining, Dominick Massaro dished the ball to Joey Hoover, who found the back of the net for the 5-4 win.
