THE REST OF THE STORY
• Erik Anderson finished an Eric Ellis pass with 8:21 to play in the opening period for a 1-0 lead before Eric D'Arminio was able to finish a solo run and double the lead just shy a minute later. Noah Longest (Camden, Del./Caesar Rodney) started a three-goal run for McDaniel with 6:26 showing with an unassisted tally. Jared Payne (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) then found Jackson Reilly to tie the game with 3:58 on the clock. Just 70 seconds later, Pat Fegan (Edgewater, Md./South River) hit Nick DeLoriers (Abington, Md./John Carroll) for a 3-2 lead. Stockton evened the game with 29 ticks remaining when Luc Swedlund found the back of the net.
• Payne put the hosts back on top with 5:35 to play in the second quarter before Will Pellicier evened the game 28 seconds later and D'Arminio finished a solo run with 25 seconds remaining for a 5-4 edge going to the break.
• Goals from three different Ospreys in a span of 7:06 accounted for a 3-0 third quarter, pushing the lead to 8-4 with 4:45 remaining in the period.
• Anderson and Colin Shea scored 1 minute, 22 seconds apart to start the fourth quarter and stretch the advantage to 10-4 with 12:26 to play. D'Arminio's third goal came on a solo run with 9:50 to play before Dante Poli made it 12-4 and capped a 9-0 run with 7:19 remaining. Reilly broke up a nearly 30-minute drought for McDaniel with an unassisted tally. Luc Swedlund converted a two-man advantage goal with 4:37 to play and Joey Tiernan and Anderson capped the scoring in the final 2:11.
THE INSIDE STORY
• The 25 saves was not only a career high for Jakob Katzen but also the most in a game by any Green Terror keeper since Chuck Nolan posted a program-record 34 on Mar. 16, 1983.
• Stockton ended the game with a 55-45 advantage in shots, including holding a 35-16 advantage in the second half.
• Jared Payne added four ground balls to his goal and assist.
