Box Score WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored five straight goals to rally from an early 2-0 deficit and defeat Wooster 11-8 in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Wednesday.
Troy Becker (Yardley, Pa./Notre Dame) led the Green Terror (5-2) with three goals.
Ian Brim paced the Scots (2-4) with three goals of his own.
Trailing 2-0 after two Josh Herold markers in the first half of the first half, Becker finished a solo run to get McDaniel on the board with 4:56 to play in the opening quarter.
Jared Payne (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) evened the game off a Timothy McNichol (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) assist with 3:00 on the clock.
Payne finished a solo run 1:12 later before Becker made it a 4-2 game with 19 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
McNichol pushed the lead to 5-2 just 34 seconds into the second quarter.
Goals from Brim and Alexander Bloom closed the deficit to 5-4 at halftime.
Jackson Reilly (Churchton, Md./Southern) stretched the lead back to two with 11:25 to play in the third quarter before Cooper Archambault (Wayland, Mass./Wayland) made it a 7-4 game just over five minutes later.
Three goals in the final 1:51 of the period gave McDaniel a 9-5 lead before Brim and Becker traded markers 1:19 apart to make it a 10-6 game with 11:14 to play.
McNichol completed his hat trick with 8:56 to play before Bloom and Brim capped the scoring with goals in the final 2:30 of the contest.
Zack Bicho (Millstone, N.J./The Hun School of Princeton) won 8 of 11 faceoffs with six ground balls while Jake Schoenick (Port Republic, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) went 8-for-10 at the X with four ground balls.
Will Kroppe (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) matched Bicho with six ground balls while adding four caused turnovers.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Roanoke on Saturday. Game time is 3 p.m.
