YORK, Pa. – York (Pa.) scored nine of the first 10 goals en route to a 13-5 victory over McDaniel in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday.

Patrick Huckenpoehler (Baltimore, Md./Towson) led the Green Terror (0-2) with two goals.

Andrew Gamble paced the Spartans (3-0) with four goals while Austin Glab added a hat trick.

Glab opened the scoring, finishing a solo run 2:13 into the game before Thomas Pfeiffer doubled the lead nearly four minutes later.

Huckenpoehler finished a feed from Jason Lawrence (Fallston, Md./Fallston) with 5:00 remaining in the first quarter to make it a 2-1 game.

A man-up tally by Glab keyed a three-goal stretch by York in the final 2:10 of the first quarter.

Glab, Gamble and Pfeiffer accounted for a 3-0 second quarter to extend the lead to 8-1.

Hunter Davis made it a 9-1 game with 13:01 showing on the third-quarter clock.

Quinn Lykens (Baltimore, Md./Towson) found Calvin Fleagle (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) just 30 seconds later to break the 27-minute, 29-second scoring drought.

Davis and Gable stretched the lead to 11-2 before a Lawrence man-up goal off a feed from Fleagle trimmed the deficit to 11-3 with 1:51 to play in the third quarter.

After Joseph Joseph scored early the fourth quarter, Zach Monzo (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) and Huckenpoehler scored back-to-back tallies 1:19 apart to make it a 12-5 game.

Gamble set the final margin with a man-up marker with 3:56 to play.

Zach Bicho (Millstone, N.J./The Hun School of Princeton) won 12 of the 19 faceoffs he took. Robert Breed (Medway, Mass./Xaverian Brothers) led the defense with three caused turnovers and two ground balls.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Goucher on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
