WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored six straight goals to turn a 4-1 deficit into a 7-4 lead early in the fourth quarter before holding on for an 8-7 Centennial Conference (CC) men's lacrosse win over Dickinson on Wednesday.

Patrick Serio (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) led the Green Terror (4-4, 1-1 CC) with three goals. Jason Lawrence (Fallston, Md./Fallston) added a hat trick of his own.

Chris Menard led the Red Devils (2-6, 0-1 CC) with two goals and two assists.

Trailing 4-1, Zach Monzo (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) finished a solo run with 6:58 showing in the second quarter.

Calvin Fleagle (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) found Lawrence to draw the hosts within one with 2:20 to play in the first half before Serio knotted the game off one of three Pat Bivons (Cockeysville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) assists with 1:14 showing.

Solo markers from Bivons and Lawrence accounted for the only two third-quarter markers before Lawrence finished from Bivons just 30 seconds into the fourth quarter for a 7-4 lead.

Back-to-back Menard-to-Connor Murphy markers 2:22 apart closed the deficit to one before Lawrence found Serio to push the lead back to two with 7:53 to play.

Chris Jones hit Menard early in a man-up situation to close the deficit to one with 2:23 on the clock but the Green Terror were able to successfully run out the clock for its first win over Dickinson since 2009.

Serio opened the scoring, finding the back of the net just 1:32 into the contest before Menard started a string of four straight Red Devil goals with 10:15 showing.

Tyler Strods added a solo run before Tyler Llewellyn scored on either side of the quarter break to build the early lead.

Alex Hanna (Odenton, Md./Arundel) picked up five ground balls for McDaniel while Eric Ritchie (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage) made 13 saves in goal.

The Green Terror returns to action at Haverford on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
