Box Score FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg tallied the first four goals of the game en route to a 9-5 victory over McDaniel in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Wednesday.
Jason Lawrence (Fallston, Md./Fallston) led the Green Terror (3-3) with two goals and an assist.
Tate Rolland paced the Bobcats (8-0) with four goals and added an assist.
Rolland finished a solo run just 36 seconds into the game before finding Devin Colegrove to double the advantage with 13:00 to play in the opening quarter.
Back-to-back tallies from Greg Bourne made it a 4-0 game midway through the second quarter before Lawrence broke up the shutout with 2:13 to play in the period.
Lawrence then hit Calvin Fleagle (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) with just 19 ticks remaining in the first half to make it a 4-2 game at the break.
Rolland and Lawrence traded markers in the first 2:16 of the third quarter before Spencer Barnett found the back of the net with 7:08 showing for a 6-3 lead.
Chris Rios pushed the lead to 7-4 before Fleagle finished a Pat Bivons (Cockeysville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) feed for a man-up tally with 5:58 to play.
Timothy McNichol (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) scored 57 seconds later to close the deficit to two but two more Rolland unassisted markers sealed the win.
Zach Bicho (Millstone, N.J./The Hun School of Princeton) won 10 of 17 faceoffs and picked up eight ground balls. Eric Ritchie (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage) finished with 12 saves.
The Green Terror opens Centennial Conference play at Washington (Md.) on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
