Box Score

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Washington (Md.) built a 8-1 lead through the game's first 10:32 en route to a 21-8 victory over McDaniel in the Centennial Conference (CC) men's lacrosse opener for both teams on Saturday.

Sean Brett (Hamilton, N.J./Notre Dame) took a pass from McNichol and scored on McDaniel's first shot with 9:40 to play in the first quarter.

Four more Washington goals in a span of 2 minutes, 35 seconds pushed the lead to 8-1 before McNichol finished from Matt Dupras (Hillsborough, N.J./Immaculata) with 2:42 showing.

Jason Lawrence (Fallson, Md./Fallston) connected with Brett in the final 22 seconds to make it an 8-3 game but Washington scored twice in the waning seconds of the period for a 10-3 lead.

Four goals from four different players in the second quarter made it a 14-3 game at the break before a goal and an assist from Luck keyed a three-goal run in the first 4:03 of the second half.

Zach Monzo (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) finished off a pass from McNichol to make it a 17-4 game with 6:32 to play in the third quarter before JD Campbell stretched the lead back to 14 just 58 seconds later.

A McNichol unassisted tally 4:29 into the fourth quarter started a stretch of alternating goals in the final period.

Owen Evans scored the third man-up goal for the Shoremn with 8:13 to play before Troy Becker (Yardley, Pa./Notre Dame) responded 56 seconds later.

Stephen Goff and Jackson Balkin (Buffalo, N.Y./Saint Joseph's Collegiate Institute) traded their first tallies of the season before Zach Revak got in the scoring column for the first time with 1:10 to play.
