WESTMINSTER, Md. – Gibbs Preston (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) converted on his first six shots of the season and finished with six goals and two assists to lead McDaniel to a 19-4 victory over Moravian in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday.

Freshman DJ Rickels (Forest Hill, Md./Boys Latin School of Maryland) added a hat trick to go with a pair of assists in his debut for the Green Terror (1-0), who built a 6-0 lead through the first 16:14 of the contest.
Christopher Danni scored two of the four goals for the Greyhounds (0-2), who were outshot 54-25 on the game.

Preston stretched the lead to six 1:14 into the second quarter before Danni went back-to-back and Jason Tosches added an unassisted goal to pull Moravian within 6-3 with 8:38 remaining before halftime.
Two more Preston goals stretched the lead back to five with 4:52 showing before Rickels and Preston each converted during a three-minute extra-man opportunity on an illegal Greyhound crosse to make it a 10-3 game at the intermission.
Christopher Mohapp scored 37 seconds into the third quarter but the Green Terror tallied the final nine markers of the game to set the margin.
Seven different McDaniel players scored during the final run led by two goals apiece from Matthew Daley (Wilmington, Del./AI Dupont) and Zach Weeden (Shirley, Mass./Rivers School).
