Kelly Highlights Three All-Conference Selections for Softball

LANCASTER, Pa. – Three players from the McDaniel College softball team were selected to All-Centennial Conference Team on Wednesday, highlighted by sophomore Cameron Kelly earning a spot on the first team.

Sophomore Ally McBride and senior Ryan Smith were second team selections. McBride earned her second career honor after making the second team last season, while Kelly and Smith were each honored for the first time. Kelly's selection marked the third consecutive season the Green Terror have had a player named to the all-conference first team. The team has had at least one all-conference selection in every season since 2010; there was no team selected in 2020 due to COVID.

Kelly batted .429 on the year to finish second in the conference; her .614 slugging percentage ranked fourth. She led the team with two home runs and tied for second with 22 RBIs in 25 starts and 70 plate appearances. She totaled 30 hits on the season, seven of which went for extra bases, and scored 13 runs. In the pitching circle, Kelly compiled a team-best eight wins in 14 starts, tossing six complete games in 73 innings. She struck out 26 batters and complied a 5.37 ERA and a 2.01 WHIP. Her eight pitching wins was seventh highest in the Centennial Conference.

McBride earned her second career all-conference honor after batting .378 in 2026 with one home run and 22 RBIs. She totaled 31 hits in 82 at-bats and scored 23 runs. In the circle, McBride led the team with a 3.88 ERA and a 1.79 WHIP in 48.2 innings. She finished 12th in the conference with 43 strikeouts and allowed the seventh fewest base hits in the league. 

Smith notched her first career honor by batting .402 on the year to finish 10th ranked in the conference. She led the team in hits (46), runs scored (30), total bases (54) and plate appearances (115). Smith collected 12 RBIs on the season and hit her first career home run on April 21 against Gettysburg.
