LANCASTER, Pa. - McDaniel College women's soccer first-year
Hariette Ngwatung was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
It is the first career honor for Ngwatung and first for the Green Terror since current assistant coach Jessica Weinoldt earned the honor on Oct. 29, 2024.
Ngwatung scored two goals, netting one in each game, as McDaniel went 1-0-1 last week with a non-conference win over Elizabethtown and a 1-1 tie against No. 17 Swarthmore. She scored her third goal of the season just over three minutes into the contest against Swarthmore, the first goal allowed by the Garnet in four conference contests this season and just the fourth they have allowed in nine games this season.
Ngwatung is second on the team in goals and points this season and has scored in back-to-back contests after scoring the game-winner in Wednesday's win over Elizabethtown. She is also fifth in the Centennial Conference in assists with three.
McDaniel wraps up its three-game home stand on Wednesday against Franklin & Marshall. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. The two teams are currently tied for fourth place in the Centennial Conference standings.
