WESTMINSTER, Md. - Former McDaniel College women's basketball player Lil Overcash has partnered with Play Overseas to continue her playing career in the UK while she earns a master's degree.
Overcash will be attending the University of Worcester in Worcester, England and will play for the Wolves' women's basketball team that competes nationally against other Universities as part of the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Leagues & Championships. In addition, she will also help coach the women's semi-pro team that competes in Midlands 1A and the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) Division 1.
Overcash will spend 12 months as a student-athlete from September 2025 to September 2026 while working toward her master's degree in International Sport Management.
A native of Bend, Oregon, Overcash graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and minors in Psychology and Sports Coaching. She played in all 103 of the team's games during her four year career, totaling over 600 points, 250 rebounds and 200 assists. She started in all 53 of the team's games over her final two seasons while leading the team in minutes played.
Off the court, Overcash was a three-time member of the Centennial Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll and finalist for the department's Charles W. Havens Award which is presented to a graduating senior, male or female, who has participated in intercollegiate athletics and who has shown by word and deed, the attributes of charity, altruism, benevolence, and a humane and compassionate concern for others.
UK-based company Play Overseas provides a free service to graduating and former student-athletes, helping them identify opportunities to further both their sporting career and education overseas.
