FROSTBURG, Md. - Sophomore
Maria Samuel posted a second-period fall at 160 pounds as the McDaniel College women's wrestling team fell on the road at Division II Frostburg State Wednesday, 40-5.
Returning to action for the first time since Dec. 15, the Green Terror (1-3) dropped their first road match of the season after posting the program's first-ever win at Randolph on Dec. 5.
Samuel picked up her third career fall when she pinned Samira Stephens in 4:27 for the team's lone victory.
Freshman
Taylor Mead was edged by Amber Hunter-Snyder at 145 pounds, losing by fall with just 15 seconds remaining in the second period.
Three of McDaniel's individual match defeats came by forfeit and one came by injury.
The Green Terror return to action this Saturday at Will Abelle Open hosted by Ursinus. Action gets underway at 10 a.m.
