LYNCHBURG, Va. - Led by wins in the final four matches, the McDaniel College women's wrestling team picked up the first win in program history with a 35-15 victory on the road at Randolph College Thursday night.
The Green Terror (1-1) picked up their first win in their second-ever dual match, winning two matches by fall and one by injury default.
With the match tied at 15-15, freshman
Taylor Mead picked up fall in just 37 seconds over Alexis Spade at 145 pounds to give McDaniel the lead for good. Freshman
Payton Summerville and junior
Summer James followed with their first career wins with forfeits at 160 and 180 pounds, respectively.

Rowan Titus provided the final margin when she picked up her first career win at 207 pounds with a fall against Mikayla Ozueh in 2:52.

Iyana Robinson won her first career match by injury default at 103 pounds before junior
Bayleigh Perdue won by forfeit at 110 pounds.

The Wildcats (0-2), who are also in their inaugural season, were hosting their first-ever home match.
McDaniel travels to York College of Pennsylvania on Saturday for the New Standard Invite. Competition begins att 9 a.m.
