WESTMINSTER, Md. - The McDaniel College men's outdoor track & field sprint medley relay team finished 12th and set a new school record at the prestigious Penn Relays on Friday.
The team of sophomore Alex Brown, sophomore Oral-Anthony Coleman, junior Alex Huffer, and sophomore Anders Madsen set a new program record with a time of 3:36.46. They broke the previous record set in 1998 by Richard Smith, Chris Hydorn, Gavin DeFreitas, and Darren Wolf who had a time of 3:36.48.
The 4x400-meter relay team of senior Anthony Razze, junior Tyler Richardson, senior Nick Razze, and sophomore Jeremiah Maxwell placed third in the Pop Haddleton MAC race with a time of 3:24.92.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Brown, Coleman, N. Razze, and Maxwell placed seventh in the 4x100 Eastern heats with a time of 42.92 seconds.
On Thursday, senior Nick Razze placed 25th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.85 seconds.
McDaniel travels to Washington, D.C. on Saturday for the Gallaudet Invitational in its final tune-up before the 2023 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
