THE REST OF THE STORY
• In game one, Isabella Sylvester (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) and Mattie Whalen led off the game with back-to-back singles before a Megan Horsey (Chesapeake City, Md./Bohemia Manor) walk loaded the bases. Evie Craig (Valby, Denmark/International School of Hellerup) followed with a single through the left side to score Sylvester for a 1-0 lead. A Makayla Calamita (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood Area) sacrifice fly made it a 2-0 game.
• An Angelina Tyler (Columbia, Md./Howard) one-out double, and singles from Sylvester and Whalen pushed the lead to 3-0 an inning later.
• In the bottom of the seventh, Alexa Kappler doubled before a two-out infield hit and throwing error allowed her to score for the 3-1 final.
• In the nightcap, Sylvester singled to lead off the game before scoring on a two-out Craig single to right for a 1-0 lead.
• With one out in the fifth, Keppler tripled to score Jamie Belfer, who led off the inning with a single, to tie the game. A two-out error allowed Keppler to score for a 2-1 lead.
