THE SKINNY
Randolph-Macon, ranked 10th in the latest NFCA Div. III poll, tossed a pair of shutouts to sweep McDaniel, 3-0 and 12-0.
THE LEADERS
• Isabella Sylvester (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) led the Green Terror with three hits in the twinbill.
FOR THE FOES
• Gracie Ellis led the Yellow Jackets in the circle in game one, striking out eight and walking none in a two-hit shutout.
• Rilee Baughan went 3-for-3 at the plate with four RBIs. She also threw the first four innings of game two, striking out five and allowing just two hits.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the opener, Amanda Lanyon was hit by a pitch to lead off the bottom of the first and stole second. After a Naomi Sadler single up the middle put runners at the corners, a throwing error allowed Lanyon to score from third for a 1-0 lead. A Rilee Baughan double to the gap plated Sadler for a 2-0 lead.
• A one-out Natalie Robinson home run to left field pushed the lead to 3-0 in the third.
• McDaniel did get singles from Isabella Sylvester and Megan Horsey (Chesapeake City, Md./Bohemia Manor) to put two on with one out in the fourth but Gracie Ellis got a popup and groundout and did not allow another baserunner the rest of the way.
• In game two, A Baughan three-run home run was part of a six-hit first inning before an out was recording, staking Randolph-Macon to a 7-0 lead after one inning.
• Doubles from Kayla Davis and Robinson highlighted a five-run second that made it 12-0 en route to the run-rule win.
• The Green Terror had a pair of baserunners in each the third and fifth but could not get them home.

• The Green Terror concludes a stretch of four straight road doubleheaders on Saturday before playing the final three twinbills at home. McDaniel is 0-6 on the current road trip.
