THE SKINNY
Haverford edged out a pair of close, low-scoring games to sweep McDaniel, 5-2 and 4-2.

THE LEADERS
Isabella Sylvester (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) led the Green Terror with four hits on the afternoon.
• Evie Craig (Valby, Denmark/International School of Hellerup) added three hits.

FOR THE FOES
• Abby Marquis had four hits to lead the Fords, including three doubles and a home run.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• In game one, Isabella Sylvester led off with a single through the right side before Mattie Whalen (Magnolia, N.J./Sterling) drew a walk. Two groundouts and a wild pitch staked McDaniel to a 2-0 lead.
• Kaila Uyeda was hit by a pitch to lead off the bottom of the inning before a sacrifice and Abigail Marquis double to the fence cut the deficit in half.
• In the second, Maddie Hujber singled before taking second on a miscue and scoring on a Maddie Etheridge single to tie the game.
• Haverford took a 3-2 lead in the third on another Marquis double and two-out error.
• A two-run Marquis home run in the sixth set the final margin.
• In game two, the Fords took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first after Uyeda reached second on an error, moved to third on a sacrifice, and scored on a Marquis double.
• In the fourth, Evie Craig led off the inning with a single up the middle before taking second on a Megan Horsey (Chesapeake City, Md./Bohemia Manor) sacrifice. After Olivia Dresser (Valrico, Fla./Newsome) pinch ran, she took third on a wild pitch and scored on a Paytyn Hazelton (Port St. Lucie, Fla./Seminole Ridge) infield hit to tie the game.
• Sylvester poked a single into center to start the fifth before moving up a base on a sacrifice. She took third on a groundout and was able to score on a Craig single through the right side for a 2-1 lead.
• Mia Kissinger singled to lead off the bottom of the sixth. After an error on the ensuing sacrifice attempt and a bunt that turned into a hit loaded the bases, Hujber hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game. Etheridge singled to shallow left to score both base runners with two outs for the difference.

THE INSIDE STORY
Isabella Sylvester had a three-hit game one while Evie Craig rapped out three hits in game two.
Evie Craig led the way in the nightcap with three hits.

NEXT UP
McDaniel returns to action at home against Stevenson on Tuesday. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 3 p.m.
