Coleman records second, third at Shenandoah

THE SKINNY
McDaniel had 11 athletes compete at the Shenandoah Final Qualifier, recording six personal-best marks on the day.

THE LEADERS
Oral-Anthony Coleman (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) finished second in the 200 with a time of 23.34 seconds and was third in the 60 with a time of 7.25 seconds. He posted a time of 7.19 seconds, ranking fourth after the prelims in the 60.
Kyle Hubbard (Salisbury, Md./Mardela) added a third-place showing in the 200 with a personal-best time of 24.20 seconds.  He was also fourth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.12 seconds.
• Tyren Proctor (Westminster, Md./North Point) placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.84 seconds, which is the No. 10 performance in program history.
• Diondre Carter (Salisbury, Md./J.M. Bennett) finished fourth in the 60 with a season-best time of 7.34 seconds. He was sixth in the prelims with a time of 7.37 seconds.
• Chett Brunner (Sykesville, Md./Century) placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 14.45 meters, ranking as the 10th best performance in program history.

FOR THE FOES:
• It was a non-scoring meet.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Alex Huffer (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) crossed sixth in the 400 with a personal-best time of 52.79 seconds.
Matthew Becker (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) was sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 12.85 meters and seventh in the shot put with a personal-best throw of 12.96 meters.
• Tyler Richardson (Severn, Md./Old Mill) finished 8th in the 800 with a personal-best time of 2:04.53.
Anthony Razze (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) was 11th in the 800 with a personal-best time of 2:08.02.
DeVaughn Smith (Rosedale, Md./Kenwood) rounded out the competitors with a personal-best throw of 10.13 meters in the shot put, placing 11th.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Angel Bidgell (Glen Burnie, Md./Old Mill) was the lone competitor for the Green Terror on the women's side, finishing fifth in the 200 with a time of 27.72 seconds.

McDaniel opens the outdoor season at the Goucher Quad Meet with Hood on Marymount on Friday, Mar. 25.
