HARRISONBURG, Va. - McDaniel College men's track & field graduate student Chett Brunner finished first in the shot put, highlighting the team's competition at the Rockingham Collegiate Open hosted by Bridgewater Friday.
The meet was not scored.
Brunner won shot put with a throw of 14.71m (48-3) to mark his 15th career event win, giving him sole possession of the program all-time wins record surpassing the 14 held by Tyren Proctor.
Sophomore Jacob Gibson placed 19th with a throw of 10.45m (34-3.25) while junior Zack McCaa placed 24th. Sophomore Jamey Travers placed 25th, and junior Luke Stimely placed 28th.
The 4x400-meter relay team of junior Ethan Bush, junior Jack Reiser, freshman Amadeus Davis, and graduate student Tyler Richardson finished first with a time of 3:36.34.
Senior Oral-Anthony Coleman placed second in the 60-meter dash in 7.03 seconds. Freshman Robert Wood placed 15th in 7.42 seconds to qualify for the conference championship meet. Junior Christian Homer placed 16th in 7.43 seconds and sophomore Seyi Adelaja placed 26th in 7.63 seconds. Freshman Jaymani Chin-Marcelle had a time of 7.76 seconds to place 27th.
Graduate student Nick Raumann placed second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:24.44. Freshman Parker Foster placed sixth in 17:23.74.
Raumann also placed fourth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:13.09 while junior Jack Sears placed seventh in 9:33.28.
The distance medley relay of Raumann, Bush, Davis, and Richardson placed second running 10:54.51.
Homer placed sixth in triple jump with a mark of 6.07m (19-10.75).
Coleman placed seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.89 seconds. Senior Kyle Silver ran a time of 24.18 seconds to place 25th. Junior Armani Moya-Moore placed 28th, Chin-Marcelle placed 32nd and Wood placed 35th.
Sears placed seventh in the mile with a conference-qualifying time of 4:33.62 while sophomore Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama placed 33rd.
Sophomore Roman Arensmeyer ran a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.45 seconds to finish seventh.
Bush ran 2:04.02 to place eighth in the 800 meters, just ahead of Davis who placed ninth in 2:04.71. Reiser had a time of 2:05.80 to place 12th while Richardson placed 15th in 2:08.80. Junior Simon Greenburg ran a personal best 2:26.33 to place 29th.
Junior AJ Iglesias placed ninth in the weight throw with a mark of 12.53m (41-1.5) to move into sixth in program history. Travers placed 15th with a throw of 10.37m (34-0.25).
Moya-Moore placed 17th in the 400 meters with a time of 59.51 seconds.
The Green Terror return to action on Saturday, March 1 at the 2025 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
