THE SKINNY

THE LEADERS
Evie Craig (Valby, Denmark/International School of Hellercup) led the Green Terror with two hits and a walk.

FOR THE FOES
• Taylor Darby went 2-for-2 with two RBIs to lead the Warriors.
• Bryanna Schaffer paced the Knights with two hits.
• Dina DiBlasi led the Golden Bears with two hits and four RBIs.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the opener, Cassie Woods led off with a double before a sacrifice bunt and Brooke Matyasovsky sacrifice fly staked Eastern Connecticut to a 1-0 lead.
• A Carley Stoker single, ground out and Alyssa Vilcher double to the gap made it 2-0 in the second.
• Woods was hit by a pitch to start the third before stealing second and scoring on a Darby single to left.
• A walk, stolen base and bunt single put runners at the corners in the fourth for the Warriors. After a muffed throw on a sacrifice, Maggie Baker took off for home to make it 4-0. Alexis Tyrrell followed with a two-run double before scoring on a Darby one-out double. A Matyasovsky single made it 8-0.
• Alexis Mitchen worked around back-to-back two-out singles in the bottom of the fifth for a run-rule win.
• In game two, Carleton took a 1-0 lead in the first. Brooke McKelvey reached on a one-out single up the middle before eventually scoring on a Emma Kartheiser sacrifice fly.
• A Kartheiser walk, sacrifice, Trina Eichel infield single and error made it 2-0 in the fourth.
• Bryanna Schaffer led off the fifth with a single and eventually score on a Laurie Avila ground out for a 3-0 lead.
• Oliva Dresser (Valrico, Fla./Newsome) drew a leadoff walk in the top of the sixth before taking third on an infield single and scoring on a double play.
• In the nightcap, Angelina Tyler (Columbia, Md./Howard) walked, stole second and scored on a Mattie Whalen (Magnolia, N.J./Sterling) single to the gap to stake the Green Terror to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
• In the bottom of the inning, Kaleigh Blades drew a four-pitch one-out walk before a Kailey Carra double and Dina DiBlasio single to the gap turned the one-run deficit into a one-run lead. A Rizzo two-out double into the corner plated DiBlasio from second for a 3-1 lead.
Megan Cappadora (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) led off the top of the third with a single to the gap before a pair of one-out errors prolonged the frame and opened the door for a five-run inning. With two outs, Evie Criag drew a walk and a wild pitch allowed Tyler to score and tie the game at 3-all. A Makayla Calamita (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood Area) double down the line scored Whalen and made it 4-3 before a two-run Kylie Sears (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) single up the middle the Green Terror a 6-3 lead.
• McDaniel tacked on one more run on an Hannah Raygor (Frederick, Md./Seneca Valley) double down the line and pair of wild pitches to make it 7-3 in the fourth.
• The Golden Bears plated seven in the bottom of the fourth on seven hits, including a two-run double by DiBlasi and two-run singles from Blades and Weston.
