THE SKINNY STORY
Franklin & Marshall rallied with the final six runs of the first game to capture a 9-7 victory in eight innings before completing the sweep at McDaniel, 12-1.

THE LEADERS
Megan Horsey (Elkton, Md./Bohemia Manor) led the Green Terror with six hits in the doubleheader, rapping a pair of three-hit outings. She added two RBIs and two runs scored in the first game. She had a double in each game.

FOR THE FOES
• Jamie Belfer led the Diplomats with five hits on the day to go with three RBIs and two runs scored.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Michaela Persinger (Emmitsburg, Md./Catoctin) and Megan Horsey led off the bottom of the first in game one with back-to-back singles before a one-out Evie Craig (Valby, Denmark/International School of Hellerup double staked McDaniel to a 2-0 lead.
• Caitlyn Erdman led of the visitor second with a double before stealing third and scoring on a wild pitch to cut the deficit in half. A walk and three straight one-out singles tied the game.
• Abi Buell started the third with a single through the left side before three straight two-out walks forced her home for a 3-2 lead.
Meg Cappadora (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) led off the fourth with an infield single before a two-out Makayla Calamita (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood Area) walk sparked a rally. Persinger followed with a single back up the middle before Horsey double to the fence in left-center to turn the one-run deficit into a one-one lead. Mattie Whalen (Magnolia, N.J./Sterling) followed with a double to deep right to score Persinger and Horsey for a 6-3 lead.
• Cappadora once again led off the fifth with a single before an error, Paytyn Hazelton (West Palm Beach, Fla./Seminole Ridge), and Calamita sacrifice fly stretched the lead to 7-3.
• A pair of bunt singles around a hit batter leaded the bases in the top of the sixth before Kat Gunther dropped a ball into left field to score Jamie Belfer and make it a 7-4 game. After an out at the plate, the Diplomats had an apparent sacrifice fly to cut the deficit to two but – on appeal – the runner at third was called for leaving early to end the frame.
• Hannah Salvucci laced a one-out pinch-hit double to the fence in the top of the seventh before an infield single, throwing error, and Belfer double made it a 7-6 game. After a bunt single put runners at the corners, a ground out scored Belfer to tie the game.
• A Buell single and Ella Glenn one-out walk put two on in the top of the eighth for Frankie Testa, who poked a double to center for a two-run lead.
• Jill Holoboski retired six straight batters after allowing a walk to lead off the home seventh to pick up the win in relief.
• With one run already home in the top of the first in game one, Erdman roped her second double of the afternoon for a 3-0 lead, which would prove to be all the run support Holoboski needed.
• The Diplomats tacked on a single run in the third and two more in the fourth to stretch the advantage to 6-0.
• Madison Froemel (Suffolk, Va./Kings Fork) drew a leadoff walk in the sixth before a Hazelton double and fielder's choice gave McDaniel its lone run of the game.
• Franklin & Marshall tacked on six runs in the seventh keyed by a two-out walk, Gunther pinch-hit single, and Devon Witt three-run triple.
