OPENING KICKOFF: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 47th meeting between McDaniel (0-2, 0-1 CC) and Muhlenberg (2-0, 1-0 CC) in a series that dates back to 1927. The Mules took a 55-0 victory last season in Allentown to make it six wins in a row and eight in nine years to pull within 22-21-3 in the all-time series. The Green Terror's lone win during the stretch came by a 16-9 margin in Allentown in 2010.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Muhlenberg scored 41 first-half points en route to a 55-0 victory over McDaniel last season. Ben Kahn (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) led the Green Terror with a career-high eight tackles. Claude Richardson (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) added a team-best nine stops. Nick Savant led the Mules with 122 yards rushing while Max Cepeda added 108 yards on the ground as part of a 399-yard rushing attack.

LAST TIME OUT: Moravian racked up 673 yards of total offense en route to a 55-27 win over McDaniel in the CC opener for both teams last week. Isaac Murray (Columbia, Md./Atholton) led the Green Terror with 126 all-purpose yards, scoring a touchdown on both offense and special teams. Chris Negron led the Greyhounds with 167 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Mike Hayes went 20-for-22 through the air, throwing for 265 yards and three touchdowns.

HEAD OF THE CLASS: Isaac Murray was named the CC Special Teams Player of the Week after returning the first kickoff of the game 90 yards for a touchdown. He finished with two kickoff returns for 102 yards and 126 all-purpose yards.

WITH HONORS: Ray Doh (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) was named to the CC Weekly Honor Roll last week. Doh was tabbed to the defensive list after leading the Green Terror defense with a fumble recovery for the second straight week. He added six total tackles, including a sack.

LEADING THE WAY: Tyler DeMent (Olney, Md./Northwest), Vince Gorgone (Clarksville, Md./Good Counsel) and Matt Quattrone (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) will captain the squad in 2016. This is the second straight year Quattrone has served as a captain while DeMent and Gorgone are first-time captains.

DEDICATED TO THE ONE I LOVE: Today is the 2016 home opener for McDaniel and the first time the Green Terror will play on the new turf of Kenneth R. Gill Stadium. It will also be the first game with the new state-of-the-art scoreboard and video board. At halftime of today's game, there will be a dedication ceremony in honor of Mike Marks '13. Marks' parents, Joseph F. and Barbara M. Marks, of Ellicott City, Md., donated the lead gift for the new scoreboard in memory of their son, who was a leader on the McDaniel campus in both the classroom and as a four-year starter for the men's lacrosse team. Mike Marks graduated cum laude from McDaniel in May 2013 with a bachelor's degree in political science and international studies. He passed away on June 15, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident.

MANY HAPPY RETURNS: Isaac Murray received the first Moravian kickoff of the game just 1:15 into the game. Just 14 seconds later, he hit the seam and returned the kick 90 yards for a touchdown. It was the first time a Green Terror player had returned a kick for a touchdown since Joe Rollins went 90 yards against Catholic to open the 2011 season (Sept. 3). It marked the second time in two weeks that a McDaniel player had a return for a touchdown. Keegan Romanoff (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) returned an interception for a touchdown in the opener at Catholic. That was also a first since 2011.

MULTI-FACETED: Isaac Murray added another first later in the game on Saturday. He rushed for his touchdown in a McDaniel uniform with a one-yard carry to cap a 10-play drive midway through the fourth quarter. It was the first time since Joe Rollins also added a rushing touchdown to his kick return on Sept. 3, 2011 that a Green Terror player had scored a touchdown in two facets of the game.

DOH, RAY, ME: Ray Doh recovered his second fumble of the season in as many games on Saturday. He has added 13 tackles, including 3.0 for loss and 2.0 sacks. His sack total ranks fourth in the conference.

SPREADING THE LOVE: The Green Terror offense has had 11 different players catch a pass through just the first two weeks of the season. No player has more than eight grabs over the first two games. Tyler DeMent and Breon Herbert (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) have each caught eight passes. Herbert is the leader in yards with 96 while DeMent is the only player on the roster to catch two touchdowns. He is the only player to have scored in both games.

TERROR TIDBITS: Perry Stefanelli (Rockville, Md./Good Counsel) is second in the conference in punt-return average (9.0 ypr)… Isaac Murray has the best kickoff return average in the CC (37.8 ypr). He is the only player who has returned a kick for a touchdown… The Green Terror offensive line has allowed just two sacks this season, which is tied for the fewest allowed in the conference. McDaniel did not allow a sack last week… The 27 points scored last week were the most point McDaniel had ever scored in Bethlehem.

COACHES' CORNER: Mike Dailey is in his first season at the helm of the Green Terror after seven seasons as an assistant on the staff. He enters today's game with an overall record of 0-2. Dailey joined the Green Terror staff in 2009 with a pedigree of success at all levels of football that included compiling a record of 115-83 and two championships in 12 years as a head coach in the Arena Football League (AFL), leading the Albany Firebirds and Colorado Crush that included winning league titles in 1999 and 2005. For his first six seasons on the McDaniel sidelines, he served as defensive coordinator. His scheme put pressure on opposing quarterbacks game-in and game-out, recording 101 sacks and 55 interceptions. He helped produce 12 All-Centennial Conference selections, including four first-team nods. In 2015, Dailey shifted responsibilities to the offensive side of the ball – something he is renowned for from his days in the AFL. He spent last season coordinating the pass game and working specifically with the wide receivers… Mike Donnelly is in his 20th season at Muhlenberg. He has compiled a record of 133-72 to date with the Mules to rank as the winningest coach in the 113-year history of football. Since taking over a program that won a total of 18 games in the eight years prior to his arrival, Donnelly has turned Muhlenberg into a perennial championship contender and national top-10 team. He was named regional coach of the year by the American Football Coaches Association and D3football.com after leading the Mules to their first undefeated regular season and second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs eight seasons ago, backing that up with a CC title and NCAA bid in 2008. Donnelly guided Muhlenberg to the program's first-ever NCAA berth in 2002 – part of five consecutive postseason appearances from 2000-04 that included NCAA bids in 2002, 2003 and 2004. The Mules earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament last year after a 9-1 regular-season campaign.

THE WORD ON MUHLENBERG: The Mules enter today's game off a 35-19 win over Franklin & Marshall last Saturday. Muhlenberg raced out to a 28-0 halftime advantage before the Diplomats were finally able to dent the scoreboard with 8:04 to play in the third quarter… Nick Palladino went 25-for-30 through the air for 308 yards and three touchdowns to earn the conference's Offensive Player of the Week honor… Ryan Delaney was hit favorite target on the day, hauling in 10 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown. Nick Lamb just missed giving the Mules a second 100-yard receiver, catching seven balls for 99 yards and a score… Nick Savant added balance to the offense, rushing for 183 yards on 21 carries with that included a 39-yard touchdown run on the game's opening possession… Four of Muhlenberg's five touchdowns last week were from 30 or more yards out. Delaney caught a 51-yard touchdown for the day's longest play… The Mules enter Week Three with the conference's top ranked defense, holding opponents to an average of 338.5 yards over the first two games. Muhlenberg is also second in scoring defense (20.5 ppg)… Savant is currently second in the league in rushing (128.0 ypg)… Palladino is second in passing, averaging 296.0 yards over the first two weeks. He has completed 77.3 percent (51-for-66) of his passes with six touchdowns and just one interception… Delaney and Lamb are 1-2 in the conference in receptions and 2-3 in yards.
