Malachi Murphy and senior
Demontae Gifford were named to the All-Centennial Conference Team for the second consecutive season on Wednesday.
Murphy was named to the second team after receiving first team honors a year ago while Gifford earned honorable mention for the second year in-a-row.
Murphy led the team with 78 tackles, three interceptions and 10 passes defended while adding a fumble recovery and forced fumble. He ranked third in the conference in tackles, third in passes defended, and fourth in interceptions. As a team, McDaniel ranked second in the league with 11 interceptions.
Gifford totaled 25 tackles while leading the team in sacks for the second-straight season with three. He also led the team with three quarterback hurries and ranked second on the team with 6.5 for loss. Over the last two seasons, he totaled 57 tackles, including 13.5 for loss and seven sacks.
In addition to all-conference honors, the Centennial Conference also announced the 2025 All-Sportsmanship Team for football and senior
Carter Bucci was selected from McDaniel. He started all 10 games on the offensive line this season, playing in 59 percent of the team's plays on offense with 360 snaps. He started all 30 of the team's games the last three seasons.
