WESTMINSTER, Md. - As part of the celebration for Division III Week, McDaniel College would like to recognize a total of 38 senior student-athletes who have been selected for induction into the college chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma.
Chi Alpha Sigma is the first, and only, national scholar-athlete society to honor those four-year collegiate student-athletes who have excelled in both the classroom and in athletic competition. It is certified by the
Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS).
To be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, a student-athlete must attend a four-year accredited college or university who are members of an association or organization that promotes academic achievement and varsity level athletics competition while holding commitment to the principles of integrity, sportsmanship, and overall development of their student-athletes.
At McDaniel, the honoree must be a senior student-athlete and have achieved a minimum cumulative grade-point average of a 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
McDaniel was accepted as the Maryland Pi Chapter of
Chi Alpha Sigma on Nov. 22, 2024. Associate Athletics Director
Sandy Lagana Bly serves as the advisor.
The following student-athletes will officially be inducted in the second class of the McDaniel chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma during the athletic department's Senior Celebration on May 20, 2026. The average GPA of this first class is 3.73.
