IRVING, Texas - The McDaniel College football team had six seniors named to the 2026 class of the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday.
Those honored included
Nate Brown,
Carter Bucci,
Gage Duncan,
Logan Marsh,
Tony Miller, and
James Verton.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the 2026 class of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society represents the largest group in the program's history with a record 2,596 players from 365 schools, up from 2,529 players and 340 schools in 2025.
A total of 876 student-athletes were honored from Division III.
Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must be one of the following:
- A senior player, who will graduate this spring/summer, and just completed his final year of playing eligibility in 2025
- Graduated player or grad transfer, who has already earned a bachelor's degree and competed in 2025 (even if the player has remaining eligibility and may return to play next season).
Nominees must also have a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2 and have been starters or contributors throughout the 2025 season.
The Green Terror have had a total of eight Hampshire Honor Society selections in the program's 20-year history. Alex Brown and Bailey Himes were the first selections in team history a year ago.
