Box Score 2 LANCASTER, Pa. – McDaniel scored 17 runs over its final 19 at bats to sweep a doubleheader at Franklin & Marshall in Centennial Conference (CC) softball action on Sunday.

A Miller single down the line put runners at the corners before Lewis executed a squeeze play to get Aviles home for a 4-2 lead.
Karly Newcomb drew a walk in bottom of the inning before pinch-runner Isabel Schaefer score on a Samantha Clemens two-out single.
With runners at first and second, Weisser induced a groundball to escape with the win.

The offense picked right up where it left off in game two, sending nine batters to the plate and scoring five runs in the top of the first.
Miller led off with a single before a Lewis double to the gap put runners at second and third.
Olivia Kipe (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) followed with a single down the right-field line to score both runners for a 2-0 lead.
Weisser followed with a single of her own to put runners at the corners before swiping second.
A Hishon single scored Kipe before Weisser came home on a Carly Deichman (Easton, Pa./Freedom) RBI groundout for a 4-0 lead.
A Fletcher single plated Hishon for a 5-0 advantage.
Singles by Lewis and Weisser stretched the lead to 6-0 in the second inning.
Three straight single and a one-out Wenger triple cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the third.
The Diplomats once again loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth but Alex Herschman (Laurel, Md./Atholton) came on in relief and got a strikeout to strand all three runners.
Hishon drew a walk to lead off the top of the fifth before back-to-back singles by Deichman and Fletcher loaded the bases.
An Alicia Wagner (Bradenton, Fla./Lakewood Ranch) pinch-hit single scored Hishon and Deichman to stretch the lead to 8-3 before a Lewis ball to the fence with two outs scored Fletcher and Galati, who reentered to run, for a 10-3 lead.
A two-out home run by Long in the bottom of the inning made it a 10-4 game.
An error, walk and Burns three-run long ball closed the deficit to 10-7 in the bottom of the frame.
An error and Galati bunt single put two runners on in the top of the seventh for Miller, who tripled to the gap to push the advantage to 12-7.
Lewis followed with an RBI groundout to make it a 13-7 game.
Fiona Johnson (Derwood, Md./Magruder) struck out the side around a single and walk to close out the victory.
Lewis, Kipe, Weisser and Fletcher all had three hits in game two while Miller had a pair. Herschman picked up her first win of the season, pitching 2 1/3 innings of relief, allowing just one earned run and striking out three.
McDaniel returns to action at home against Shenandoah on Tuesday. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 3 p.m.
