Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – McDaniel rebounded after allowing a pair of unearned runs in its first game of the day to record a victory in game two of three at the Rebel Spring Games in non-conference softball action on Thursday.

The Green Terror (5-4) dropped a 2-1 decision to Utica to open the tripleheader before recording four first-inning runs to key a 5-2 victory over Rutgers-Camden.

Rachel Sidney (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) rapped out four hits in the first two games of the day, going 2-for-3 with a run scored in each contest.

Sidney led off the bottom of the first against the Raptors (1-5) with a double before an error allowed Megan Moore (Bridgeton, N.J./Cumberland Regional) to reach and put runners at the corners.

After Moore stole second, Jordan Beans (Hanover, Pa./Hanover) rapped a double to give McDaniel a 2-0 lead.

Erinne Warrenfeltz (Smithsburg, Md./Middletown) followed with a single to put runners at second and third for Jackie Liebowitz (Bellerose, N.Y./Benjamin N. Cordozo) grounded out to allow both runners to score for a 4-0 lead.

A Moore single, stolen base and Liebowitz one-out double stretched the lead to 5-0 in the third.

Vicki D'Anduono singled in the fifth and scored on a Lauren Hatzelhoffer single to get Rutgers-Camden on the board.

Christina Pipolo tripled to lead off the top of the seventh before scoring one batter later on a D'Anduono single.

After another single, Caroline Brehm (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) came on in relief and notched three straight strikeouts for her second save of the season.

Warrenfeltz picked up the win, pitching six innings with three strikeouts.

In the opener against the Pioneers (4-4), Sidney led off with a single before stealing second and scoring on a Warrenfeltz single.

In the fourth, Mallory Ingalls drew a leadoff walk and Bridgette Plummer ripped a double before a two-out error allowed both to score for a 2-1 lead.

Brehm struck out nine for the Green Terror.
