LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall scored the final 21 points of the game to secure a 35-10 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) football action on Saturday.

Keith Woodrow (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) led the Green Terror (0-6, 0-5 CC) with two catches for 78 yards, including a 62-yard touchdown – one of nine different players to catch a pass from two quaterbacks. Seth McFall (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) went 10-for-17 for 133 yards and the touchdown while Ryan Yamada (Brookeville, Md./Good Counsel) was 3-for-3 for 52 yards.

Frank Strumolo led the Diplomats (5-1, 4-1 CC) with 77 yards rushing on 17 carries, including a pair of scores.

Stumolo capped a 9-play, 55-yard drive with a two-yard dive to put Franklin & Marshall on top 7-0 with 3:57 to play in the first quarter.

After a muffed punt to start the second quarter, the Diplomats needed just two plays to capitalize from 10 yards out. Scott LaValva went around the left end for an 8-eight touchdown with 14:07 on the clock for a 14-0 lead.

McDaniel took the ball in Franklin & Marshall territory after a late hit penalty on a punt return. McFall found Casey Briggs (Frederick, Md./Frederick), who made a diving grab on fourth down to keep the drive alive. Bill Castor (Morrisville, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) converted a 34-yard field goal to put the Green Terror on the board with 4:33 showing.

After holding the Diplomats on fourth down, McDaniel took over at its own 32 with 6:06 to play in the third quarter. Three plays later, McFall found Woodrow down the right sideline for a 62-yard touchdown to pull the Green Terror within 14-10 with 4:37 showing.

A Paul McGann 44-yard catch and E.J. Schneider 25-yard run quickly reestablished the 11-point lead just 45 seconds later.

The Diplomats took their next possession 71 yards in six plays to push the lead to 28-10 at the end of the third quarter.

Strumolo found the end zone for the second time with 6:38 on the clock from five yards out, setting the final margin.

Dinambi Butler (Washington, D.C./Archbishop Carroll) recorded his first collegiate catch – a 29-yard grab – as well as an interception on the final play of the first half.

Tim McLister (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun) led the defense with nine tackles and two pass breakups. Zach Martin (Clarksville, Md./South River) added seven stops while Donny Sherman (White Hall, Md./Havre de Grace) made six stops and had two breakups.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Dickinson on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
