ATLANTA, Ga. - On Tuesday, the McDaniel College women's basketball team was honored by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as an Academic Top 25 Team of special mention for the fourth consecutive year.
As a team, the Green Terror posted a 3.458 cumulative GPA during the 2025-26 academic year. They had the fourth-highest GPA in the Centennial Conference this season behind Dickinson (3.737), Johns Hopkins (3.721), and Bryn Mawr (3.601).
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined grade-point average (GPA), inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
This is the 31st year in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls. Teams having a 3.0 combined GPA and qualifying for consideration for the top 25 in their respective divisions are also listed as special mentions.
