Kat Thayer was named to the USA Lacrosse Division III All-America Honorable Mention Team on Wednesday.
Thayer, who was selected as a USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American, earned the program's first postseason All-America honor since Paige Messersmith was honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) in 2013.
An All-Centennial Conference Second Team selection this season, Thayer led the team with 36 goals, 20 assists, 56 points, 57 ground balls, and 60 draw controls. She also ranked second with 26 caused turnovers. Her 26 caused turnovers were the seventh-most in a single-season in program history and her 57 ground balls were the third-most.
Thayer leads the conference in ground balls per game, ranks eighth in caused turnovers per game, and ninth in draw controls per game.
A two-time all-conference selection, Thayer made 52 starts and totaled 113 goals, 66 assists, 179 points, 136 ground balls, a program-record 85 caused turnovers, and 185 draw controls in 67 career games. She is ranked sixth in ground balls, sixth in draw controls, ninth in, and 15th in goals.
