McDaniel Closes Out Season Against Ursinus on Senior Day

WESTMINSTER, Md. - The McDaniel College women's lacrosse team closed out its 2026 season against Ursinus on Saturday inside Gill Stadium on Senior Day.

Prior to the game, the Green Terror (6-11, 0-8 CC) honored its eight seniors, including Charlotte Alexander and Addison Utterback who each scored a goal in the final home game of their career.

Junior Emily Conklin led the team with two goals, two assists, two ground balls, six draw controls, and one caused turnover. Conklin finished the season with 31 caused turnovers, one shy of the program record set by Allison Kealey in 2022.

Senior Caleigh Kohr made her 59th career start in goal and 14th season, finishing with six saves, while senior Emma Wood played the final seven minutes.

The Bears (8-9, 2-6 CC) scored the game's first four goals before back-to-back tallies by Alexander and Conklin just 1:15 apart cut the McDaniel deficit in half with 3:05 remaining in the second quarter.

However, the Bears scored back-to-back goals to end the half and take a 6-2 lead.

The two goals jump started an 11-0 run for the visitors who took a 15-2 advantage with 7:23 left in the fourth before Conklin scored her second and assisted on a goal by Utterback with 1:36 to play that provided the final margin.

Led by Conklin, the Green Terror held a 12-8 advantage in draw controls.

Saturday marked the final career game for senior Kat Thayer who had two ground balls, five draw controls, and two caused turnovers. She finished her career with 85 caused turnovers, tying the program's career record set by Heather Nichols from 2002-05.

Thayer also finished sixth with 136 ground balls, sixth with 185 draw controls, ninth with 179 points, and 15th with 113 goals.
