Former All-American Weinoldt Returns as Assistant Coach

WESTMINSTER, Md. - McDaniel College women's soccer head coach Michael Scott announced on Thursday that former All-American Jessica Weinoldt '25 has been hired as an assistant coach.

"We're incredibly excited to welcome Jessica back to McDaniel and are overjoyed that she has joined our staff," said Scott. "Jessica was an integral part of our success during her time here. Her experiences as a student-athlete at McDaniel, paired with her abilities on the field and in the classroom will provide our current and future young women with an incredible role model."

A United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American in 2023, Weinoldt started all 81 of the team's games during her career from 2021-24, helping lead the Green Terror to a record of 50-17-14 for a .704 winning percentage. The team made three NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship appearances and won the 2021 Centennial Conference championship.

Weinoldt was a four-time all-region and four-time all-conference selection, totaling 49 points with 20 goals and nine assists. Nine of her goals were game winners. She is one of only 19 players in program history to score at least 20 goals.

Off the field, Weinoldt was a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American in 2023, a two-time Scholar All-South Region honoree, three-time Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, and three-time Academic All-Centennial selection. She was also named the Centennial Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2023.

Weinoldt graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Sciences and a specialization in Nursing from McDaniel in May 2025 while earning minors in Sports Coaching, Kinesiology, and Biology. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and recipient of the Faith Millard/Dr. Carol Fritz Medal.

"I'm so happy to be back at McDaniel because of the lasting impact this place had on me," said Weinoldt. "My time here helped shape who I am today, both as a person and as an athlete. I know how much of an impact this experience can have and I'm grateful to be in a position where I can help others grow, chase their goals, and make the most of their time at McDaniel."

Weinoldt spent the 2025 season as an assistant women's soccer coach at Elizabethtown where she designed and implemented training sessions emphasizing technical development, tactical principles, and match preparation. She also assisted with recruiting, match preparation, and video analysis while mentoring student-athletes to support academic success and team culture.

Weinoldt has served as a Youth Soccer Coach with the Lancaster Inferno and holds a 'D' License and a Grassroots License from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).

A native of East Petersburg, Pa., Weinoldt has spent eight seasons as a player with the Lancaster Inferno of the USL W League which serves as the nation's premier pre-professional league.

"I'm excited to see Jessica grow in her role as an assistant with her experiences coaching in the collegiate game since her graduation," added Scott. "I look forward to seeing what new ideas she can bring to the program and pushing us forward to future success."
