MANAHAWKIN, N.J. - The McDaniel College field hockey team had five players named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad on Wednesday.

Over the last six seasons, the Green Terror have earned a total of 43 National Academic Squad selections.

The NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

Senior Cassidy Cashman has been honored during all four seasons at McDaniel while graduate student Justice Washburn and senior Julia Dean each received their third accolade. Sophomore Teaghen Rieder was recognized for the second year in-a-row while first-year Grace Legacy was honored for the first time.

Over 3,300 student-athletes were named to the 2025 NFHCA National Academic Squad.
