RICHMOND, Va. - On Thursday,
the McDaniel College men's and women's swimming teams were both selected as recipients of the Scholar All-America award by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA).
To earn this prestigious honor, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester.
The women led the way with a 3.41 GPA while the men had a 3.26 GPA.
The Centennial Conference had 100 percent of its active men's and women's teams on the Scholar All-America Team list as all eight men's teams and all nine women's teams were selected.
Led by second year head coach
Bill Snape, both teams were also selected following the Fall 2024 semester. Prior to that, the last time both teams were selected was after the Fall 2020 semester.
In the pool, the Green Terror men finished the 2024-25 season with five wins, their highest win total in a season since 2003-04.
