GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The McDaniel College men's swimming team opened its 2025-26 season with a tri meet against Centennial Conference rivals Gettysburg, Johns Hopkins and Washington College on Saturday.

The relay team of junior Joshua Morgan, junior Ethan Gell, first year Noah Minarcik and first year Quinn McCormick finished with a final time of 1:50.51 in the 200-yard medley relay to open the day's events. 

Sophomore Zach Duck placed sixth in the 1000-yard freestyle, clocking in with a final time of 10:55.89 and finishing with a time of 24.59 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle. Sophomore Joshua Morgan finished with a time of 1:52.64 in the 200-yard freestyle and a time of 5:26.25 in the 500-yard freestyle. 

Gell placed 10^th in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:03.43 while McCormick placed 10^th in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:14.19. Minarcik clocked in at 2:16.92 for the 200-yard butterfly. The team finished the day's events with a time of 1:42.03 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The men's swimming team returns to action on Nov. 1 on the road against Penn State Altoona. The meet will begin at 1 pm.
