ALTOONA, Pa. – The McDaniel College men's swimming team fell in a road meet with Penn State Altoona 139-57 on Saturday.
Junior
Ethan Gell took a win in the 200-yard individual medley with a final time of 2:14.25. Sophomore
Josh Morgan finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle, clocking in at 11:33.81 while junior
Dimitri Raush-Gernet finished third in the same event at 12:11.64.
Sophomore
Zach Duck placed second in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 1:54.66 and 5:16.92 respectively. First year
Noah Minarcik clocked in at 58.77 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly to nab second place and first year
Quinn McCormick also took second in the 100-yard freestyle at 53.52 seconds.
Morgan finished in second place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.37 seconds while Gell took third in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:10.82. The relay team of Morgan, McCormick, Raush-Gernet, and Duck finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a final time o 1:38.11, just six seconds off the lead.
McDaniel will travel to Ursinus next Saturday in a conference meet with the rival Bears. The meet will begin at 1 p.m.
