BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The McDaniel College men's swimming team picked up its first win of the season on Saturday, defeating Moravian on the road, 146-82.

Sophomore Zach Duck earned the first win of the day for the Green Terror in the 1,000-yard freestyle, clocking in at 10:46.51. First-year Quinn McCormick then won the 200-yard freestyle at 1:59.66, beating out the second-place finisher by nearly 10 seconds. 

Junior Ethan Gell picked up a win in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing with a final tally of 1:10.04. First-year Noah Minarcik followed with a win in the 200-yard butterfly at 2:20.01, beating out teammate McCormick who took second. 

Junior Joshua Morgan claimed first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.45 seconds while Gell earned another win in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:33.55.

Duck and Minarcik were winners again in the 500-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly, respectively.

The relay team of Morgan, McCormick, Gell and Duck finished off the day strong with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay, clocking in at 1:38.15.

The win marked the second in-a-row in the series for the Green Terror, as they defeated the Greyhounds 81-11 at Harlow Pool on Nov. 23, 2024.

The Green Terror will host an in-state clash with St. Mary's of Maryland and Hood in the team's home opener on Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. inside Harlow Pool.
