Baseball Has Four All-Conference Selections, Three Second Team

LANCASTER, Pa. - Four players from the McDaniel College baseball team were selected to the All-Centennial Conference Team on Wednesday, highlighted by three on the second team.

Junior Ben Davis, sophomore Shea McKenna, and senior Conor Henderson all earned second team honors while sophomore Ethan Haddock was named honorable mention.

Davis collected his third-straight all-conference honor, having been named honorable mention in 2023 and 2024. McKenna and Haddock returned to the all-conference squad after making the team as freshmen last season. Henderson earned his first career selection as a senior.

Davis had a monster season at the plate, tying for fifth in the conference with a .404 batting average. His six home runs led the team as he became the program's all-time leader in career home runs with 17. He finished fourth in the league with 52 RBIs and 65 base hits, finishing just two base hits shy of tying the program's single-season record. He also finished top 10 in the conference in both on-base percentage and OPS.  He tallied 15 extra-base hits, scored 42 runs and drew 29 walks.

McKenna followed up his Rookie of the Year campaign with another successful season. He finished second on the squad with 42 RBIs and a .368 average. He ranked top 10 in the conference in both triples and stolen bases, leading the team with 17 swipes on 20 attempts. He racked up 60 base hits, 41 runs scored and 14 extra-base hits on the year.

Henderson earned his first career all-conference nod as the team's relief ace. He led the team in several pitching categories, including 42 innings pitched and 36 strikeouts. He compiled three saves in 21 relief appearances, a year after finishing with a program-record seven saves in 2024.

Haddock put together a strong season at the plate after making all-conference first team last year. After missing time early in the season with injury, Haddock returned to start all 35 games he appeared in. His .336 average was third best on the team, and he tied for second on the squad with three home runs on the year, hitting two in one game against Swarthmore on April 27. He totaled 51 hits, 32 runs scored and 28 RBIs and struck out only nine times in 152 at-bats.
