BALTIMORE Md. – The Men's Track & Field team competed at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational hosted by Johns Hopkins and Loyola University.
Graduate Student Chett Brunner won the shot put with a throw of 14.91m (48-11.5). Senior Jayden Rodwell threw 11.26m (36-11.5) to place 14th. Brunner also placed second in the discus with a mark of 44.02m (144-5). Sophomore Jamey Travers placed 11th with a time of 33.57m (110-1).
The 4x400 meter relay of Junior Ethan Bush, Junior Jack Reiser, Senior Oral-Anthony Coleman, and Graduate Student Tyler Richardson placed second with a time of 3:24.96.
Coleman placed third in long jump with a mark of 6.59m (21-7.5). Senior Alex Brown jumped 6.08m (19-11.5) to place eighth. Junior Christian Homer placed 13th with a mark of 5.98m (19-7.5). Homer also placed eighth in triple jump with a mark of 12.92m (42-4.75).
Brown placed sixth in high jump with a mark of 1.75m (5-8.75). Homer jumped 1.65m (5-5). Freshman Ben DeJesus jumped 1.55m (5-1) to place 10th.
Coleman placed seventh in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.92. Freshman Seyi Adelaja placed 37th with a time of 11.83. DeJesus placed 40th with a time of 12.51.
The 4x100 meter relay of Senior Kyle Hubbard, Coleman, Homer, and Brown ran 44.85 to place seventh.
Hubbard placed tenth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.14. Sophomore Roman Arensmeyer ran 17.84 to place 22nd. Hubbard also placed 13th in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:01.26. Arensmeyer ran 1:05.27 to place 19th.
Graduate Student Nick Raumann placed tenth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:37.11.
Bush placed 15th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.93, this moves him to tenth in program history. Senior Anders Madsen placed 21st running a time of 1:59.36. Senior Sean Irwin ran 2:10.53 to place 43rd. Sophomore Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama ran 2:21.61 to place 49th. Junior Simon Greenburg placed 50th with a time of 2:22.37.
Richardson placed 16th in the 1500 with a time of 4:02.57. This moves him to ninth in program history. Reiser ran 4:13.20 to place 27th. Verano Valderrama ran 4:48.60 to place 41st. Sophomore Zac Kane followed in 42nd running 4:48.64. Sophomore John Hegarty ran 4:55.15 to place 43rd.
Brown placed 18th in javelin with a throw of 32.12m (105-4). Travers placed 20th with a throw of 27.89m (91-6). Junior Luke Stimely threw 17.62m (57-9) to place 21st.
Freshman Parker Foster ran 16:42.85 in the 5000 meters to place 23rd.
Freshman Jaymani Chin-Marcelle placed 24th in the 400 meters with a time of 52.62. Junior Armani Moya-Moore placed 30th with a time of 54.17. Senior Kyle Silver placed 37th with 59.44. Chin-Marcelle placed 36th in the 200 meters with a time of 23.84. Moya-Moore ran 24.02 to place 38th. DeJesus ran 26.48 to place 49th.
The Green Terror will return to action for the Blue Jay Tune-Up hosted by Elizabethtown on Saturday April 26th.
