Men's Outdoor Track & Field

Sears Wins 1500m and 5000m ECAC Championships

WESTMINSTER, MD – The men's outdoor track & field team competed in the ECAC Championships at home. The Green Terror placed third out of twelve teams with 100 points. Methodist won the meet with 168.5. 

Senior Jack Sears won the ECAC 1500 meter championship with a time of 3:57.69. He moves to number two all time in program history with that mark. Sears also won the 5000 meter title in a time of 15:55.77. 

Senior Ethan Bush won the ECAC 800 meter championship with a time of 1:55.80. Bush would also earn second place in the 4x400 meters and 4x800 meters. Bush has tied the program record for ECAC medals with Chett Brunner '24 and Nick Raumann '24 at six total. 

First year Caleb Andoh ran 57.83 in the 400 meter hurdles to place second. Junior Roman Arensmeyer placed seventh with a time of 1:01.57. Arensmeyer also ran 15.84 in the 110 hurdles to place third. 

The 4x800 meter relay team of first year Isaac Greeson, junior Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama, first year Sam Favazza, and Bush placed second with a time of 8:26.40. The 4x400 meter relay team of Bush, junior Braylon Johnson, Andoh, and junior Abhishek Muddiready ran 3:25.40 to place second. 

Graduate student John Geniti placed third in pole vault with a mark of 3.80m. 

Junior Benjamin Bouselli ran 11:23.54 in the 3000 meter steeplechase to place third. 

First year David Smith placed third in high jump with a jump of 1.88m. 

Mudireddy ran 2:03.21 to place fourth in the 800 meters. Greeson ran 2:05.14 to place seventh. 

Favazza ran 4:23.08 in the 1500 meters to place sixth. 

Smith ran 11.15 in the 100 meters to place sixth. First year Caleb Gonzalez ran 11.72 to place 15th. 

Johnson placed seventh in long jump with a mark of 5.92m. He also placed 11th in the 200 meters running 23.60. Gonzalez ran 25.70 to place 13th. 

The 4x100 meter relay team of Gonzalez, Smith, Andoh, and Johnson ran 43.91 to place fifth. 

Junior Jacob Gibson placed eighth in hammer throw with a mark of 34.41m. Junior Jamey Travers threw 30.38m to place 11th. Travers also placed ninth in discus with a mark of 37.09m. 

This concludes the outdoor track & field season.
