SHIPPENSBURG Pa. - The McDaniel College men's track & field team set three program all-time top 10 marks to highlight the team's competition at the Shippensburg Midweek PR Bonanza on Wednesday.
Junior Jack Reiser placed second in the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.81 while graduate student Tyler Richardson followed in third with a time of 1:57.97. They now rank ninth and 10th on the program all-time list. Junior Ethan Bush ran 2:01.04 to place fifth and senior Anders Madsen followed in sixth with a time of 2:02.86.
Senior Sean Irwin finished 19th, freshman Parker Foster placed 24th, sophomore Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama placed 29th, sophomore Zac Kane finished 30th and junior Simon Greenberg came in 31st.
Graduate student Chett Brunner placed seventh in the discus with a mark of 45.66m (149' 10") to move him into fifth in program history. Sophomore Jamey Travers placed 20th with a mark of 32.69m (107' 3"). Senior Jacob Graham placed 23rd, junior AJ Iglesias placed 24th, freshman Darnell Gilliam place 28th, junior Zack McCaa finished 29th and sophomore Jacob Gibson placed 30th.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Senior Kyle Hubbard, senior Oral-Anthony Coleman, junior Christian Homer, and sophomore Seyi Adelaja placed second with a time of 44.71 seconds.
Hubbard placed third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.83 seconds. Sophomore Roman Arensmeyer placed 14th with a time of 1:06.92 and senior Kyle Silver placed 15th with a time of 1:08.97.
Arensmeyer placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.55 seconds and Hubbard ran a time of 16.66 seconds to place seventh.
Brunner placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 14.94m (49' 0.25"). Senior Jayden Rodwell placed 18th, Gilliam placed 22nd, Gibson placed 24th, and Travers placed 26th. Freshman Jaden Thornton finished 27th and McCaa placed 28th.
Coleman ran a time of 22.84 seconds in the 200 meters to place fifth while Adelaja placed 20th in 24.06 seconds. Freshman Jaymani Chin-Marcelle placed 27th.
Coleman placed eighth in the 100 meters with a time of 11.21 seconds and Adelaja placed 19th in 11.70 seconds. Freshman Ben DeJesus placed 29th.
Chin-Marcelle also placed 22nd in the 400 meters with a time of 55.21 seconds.
Graduate student Nick Raumann placed fifth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:59.99.
Foster placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:23.15 while Verano Valderrama placed 14th with a time of 4:52.86. Kane placed 16th with a time of 4:55.46. Sophomore John Hegarty placed 17th.
Senior Alex Brown placed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.80m (5' 10.75") and Homer jumped 1.65m (5-5) to place ninth.
Brown also placed seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.69m (21' 11.5") and Homer jumped 6.04m (19' 9.75") to place 13th. Homer also placed sixth in triple jump with a mark of 12.45m (40' 10.25").
Graham placed 13th in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.87m (130' 10"). Gibson placed 21st with a throw of 32.68m (107' 3"), Rodwell placed 22nd with a throw of 32.61m (107-0), and Travers placed 23rd with a throw of 32.08m (105-3). Iglesias placed 26th and Gilliam placed 28th.
Travers placed 18th in javelin with a throw of 28.50m (93' 6") and junior Luke Stimely placed 20th with a throw of 16.31m (53' 6").
The Green Terror return to action at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational on Saturday.
