BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Senior Oral-Anthony Coleman won the long jump to lead the McDaniel College men's outdoor track & field team on the second and final day of the Doc Jopson Invitational Saturday.
Coleman won the long jump with a mark of 6.40m (20' 11.75") while junior Christian Homer placed fourth, jumping 5.91m (19' 7.25").
The 4x400-meter relay team of junior Ethan Bush, senior Anders Madsen, junior Jack Reiser, and graduate student Tyler Richardson placed second in a time of 3:27.17.
Graduate student Chett Brunner placed third in the shot put with a mark of 15.13m (49' 7.5") and junior Jayden Rodwell placed ninth with a mark of 12.24m (40' 1.75"). The Green Terror placed seven student-athletes in the top 30, including senior Jacob Graham who came in 16th.
Graduate student Nick Raumann placed fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:07.94 and freshman Parker Foster placed 11th in 17:16.01.
Richardson placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:08.18. Sophomore Zac Kane, sophomore Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama and senior Joc Baldacci each placed in the top 50.
Reiser placed fifth in the 800-meter run in a Centennial Conference qualifying time of 1:58.25. Bush followed in sixth at 1:59.2 while Madsen place 20th. Senior Sean Irwin placed 27th with a personal best time of 2:08.51 and junior Simon Greenberg place 39th.
The 4x100-meter relay team of freshman Jaymani Chin-Marcelle, freshman Seyi Adelaja, freshman Ben DeJesus, and junior Armani Moya-Moore placed fifth with a time of 45.74 seconds.
Coleman placed seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.04 seconds after posting a time of 10.96 seconds in the preliminaries. Adelaja placed 23rd in 11.73 seconds, qualifying for the 2025 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. DeJesus finished 32nd.
Coleman also placed eighth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.30 seconds.
Sophomore Roman Arensmeyer placed 11th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.64 seconds. He also placed 14th in the 400-meter hurdles and qualified for the conference championship in both events.
Graham placed 12th in the hammer throw with a mark of 38.18m (125' 3") while Rodwell placed 17th and Travers 18th. All three qualified for the conference championship.
Chin-Marcelle placed 15th in the 400 meters in a conference qualifying time of 52.74 seconds. Moya-Moore placed 23rd in 54.81 seconds.
The Green Terror return to action at Gallaudet next Saturday, April 5 for the Bison Classic.
