Swimming Teams Receive CSCAA Scholar All-America Awards

RICHMOND, Va. - The McDaniel College men's and women's swimming teams were both selected as recipients of the Scholar All-America award by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA).

Led by second year head coach Bill Snape, it is the first time that both teams have been selected since the Spring 2020 semester. The men were last recognized in Fall 2021 with women last being honored in Fall 2020.

To earn this prestigious recognition, teams were required to achieve a grade-point average (GPA) above 3.0 during the Fall 2024 semester.

The men led the way with a 3.33 GPA while the women had a 3.25 GPA.

The Centennial Conference was one of 19 conferences that had 100 percent of their active men's or women's teams on the Scholar All-America Team list as all eight men's teams were selected.

In the pool, the Green Terror men have five wins, their highest win total in a season since 2003-04.

Both teams will be back in action on Thursday, Feb. 20 for the 2025 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
